Beyonce’s uncle has tragically died, her mom Tina Knowles has announced, paying tribute to her brother Rowland Martin Buyince on social media.
The 77-year-old passed away over the weekend, and was sweetly referred to as Butch. Beyonce has yet to respond to the sad news publicly over her uncle dying, but her mother shared a photograph of her beloved family member in a touching tribute.

The celebrity‘s mother, Tina, announced the news on social media to her four million followers.
She wrote on Instagram: “My Beautiful big brother Butch went to be with God this weekend. I will miss him so much ! He was a career Airforce man.”
She shared a black and white military photo of her late brother in the tribute.
“He loved riding motorcycles, was a black belt in karate and had the most beautiful green eyes and good looks,” Tina added.
“He was a great story teller.”
Tina continued: “He had an incredible wife Jeanette and devoted daughter Dana, two beautiful grandchildren Yvette and Roland. He was greatly loved.”

Singer dedicates Renaissance act two to another uncle who died
The tragic news of Beyonce’s uncle comes days after Tina and her daughters, including Solange, attended the Lunar fashion show in New York on February 13.
They sat in the front row as they watched her grandson, Daniel Smith Jr or ‘Julez’, walk the runway. Julez posted a tribute to Beyonce’s uncle on his grandma’s post as well. He wrote: “Rest Easy Uncle Butch , My twin.”
Beyonce wore a cowboy hat, after releasing two new country songs last week. Solange beamed with pride over her 19-year-old son’s achievements, and posted several photos on her Stories after. She shares Julez with ex-husband Daniel Smith.
Grandma Tina was also over the moon, sharing endless photos of his catwalk on social media too.
The 70-year-old wore a black blazer, long brown leather gloves and accented the look with gold jewelry.
It also comes after the music star announced she’s releasing the second act of her Renaissance album on March 29. It’s dedicated to her other late uncle, Johnny, who passed away when she was 17 years old.
